The economy stinks - we all know that! Everyone needs money; everyone would love to make money the easiest, fastest way possible.
There's a craze catching on - it's called
PTC or Pay-to-Click. Yes, it's just what you think - you "earn" a few cents for every "contribution" you make for them. It takes a while to make money though because, think about it - let's say you make 10 clicks per the regulations every day - .02 cents times 10 clicks - big whoop, that 2 cents - let's rush out and buy a car! Still, it takes time and determination, but it does work and it's perfect for some people.
BUT, what
a perfect way to download all kinds of harmful crap to your computer! You're not thinking about the infections on your PC - you're thinking about getting enough clicks stored up to get that $10 payout!
I checked out
22 well-known sites with a limited reputation of being "legit" - I found
8 to be so
new they haven't been "ruined" yet. Of the remainder,
8 were
okay and
6 were definitely
NO.

Things haven't been as stress-free for me lately as I would like them to be, so tonight I felt the need for something funny. But, you know me - I had to check out my intended destinations before visiting!
Here's a perfect example of how we assume things and get bit in the butt. I've been on certain websites countless times comfortably with no incidents and then all of a sudden, they are "contaminated" - greed has gotten the better of them and they have succumbed to the various evil and sneaky practices of online advertising and marketing companies like zebo and adclick and fastclick, etc. Soon the PC is loaded with usually harmless third-party cookies weighing your system down and slowing it down to a snail's crawl!

I have "googled" 'jokes' and 'funny jokes' in the past, but tonight I tried 'humor' and got many different results. I checked out 15 of them and almost half were not safe.
I was feeling a bit devilish today and wanted to send my best friend a mean little insulting e-card. So, naturally I had to check on a few sites to see what I could come up with.
